Evon H. Sicard, 77, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday April 29, 2015 at Valerie Manor in Torrington, he was the husband of Sylvia (Atkocunas) Sicard.
He was born in Grand-Mere Quebec, Canada on September 16, 1937, the son of the late Henri and Donalda (Collins) Sicard.
Evon was a loyal and devoted husband, father, and friend, whose kindness and compassion touched many lives. He worked for Stanley Auto Body for many years, then opened Car-Craft Auto. When he sold it he became an insurance adjuster. When he retired he became a custodian for zone 16 school system. Evon was a hardworking man of many talents. Most of all he enjoyed being with his family, and spending time on the small farm in Morris CT where he and Sylvia rode horses and renovated the farmhouse. He will be remembered as a talented carpenter and craftsman as well as for his witty sense of humor.
Besides his loving wife Sylvia, he is survived by his two sisters Gisele Contois and Pierrette Rivard of Canada, two children Claude Sicard of Baltimore, Maryland, Patricia DeVito of Waterbury, and his five stepchildren John Archambault of New London and Michael Archambault of Plymouth, Dorian Baruch of Fairfield, Jane McElroy of Sherman Oaks, CA, and Elaine Hayes of Natick, MA, ten grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral service will be held at 9am on Monday, May 4, 2015 at Colasanto Funeral Home, 932 Bank St., Waterbury, then to St. Patrick’s Church, 50 Charles St., Waterbury for a 10am Mass.
