Judy (Martinelli) Diorio, 71, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital on Tuesday, September 27th, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Waterbury, on March 20, 1945, the daughter of the late, Frank and Edythe (Colasanto) Martinelli.
Judy was an employee of Waterbury Hospital as a Unit Clerk for 18 years, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Judy is survived by her two sons, Manny and his wife, Lori, and Christopher Diorio. She is also survived by her brother Francis Martinelli, with whom she made her home, her sister, Janice Johnson, and her husband, Robert and her younger brother, Richard Martinelli and Carol. She leaves behind her 5 grandchildren, Brianna, Brittnee, Manny, Elizabeth Judith and Jake Diorio. Judy was loved by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am, on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 309 South Main St. Waterbury. Burial to follow, there will be no calling hours, per the family’s request.
