Lillian Rita (Caron) Valente

Sister, Aunt, Mom, and M`ere M`ere.

Lillian (Caron) Valente, 74, of Terryville, passed away on March 2, 2018, at St. Mary’s Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Waterbury, on July 25, 1943, the loving daughter of Joseph H. Caron and Marie (Dehais) Caron.

Lillian graduated from Wilby High School, and the Kavula Institute of Hair Design in Waterbury.  She worked with her sister Rosie for many years at Sophie’s Hair Salon in the Brooklyn section of Waterbury, at Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury, and then at many manufacturing jobs later on.

She was a lifetime member of the Franco American Club, and an active member of Gadabouts Travel Club.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking, music, trips to Boston, and she loved spending time with her dog Candy in the backyard.

Lillian leaves behind her three grandchildren, whom she loved spending all of her time with and meant the World to; Jordan R. Soares of Torrington, Jay H.V. Soares and Dante G. Valente, both of Plymouth, her three children; Gina G. Valente of Plymouth, Joseph M. Valente of Waterbury, and Peter Valente of Bethlehem.  She also leaves her brother, Charles Caron, Sr. of Cheshire, and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her sisters, Rose and Theresa, and her brothers; Jerry, James, Maurice, Raymond, and Paul Caron, and also her beloved companion, Candy.

All services are private, and at the convenience of the family. Colasanto Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements.
