Mary Grace Dellano, 98, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2016, at Abbott Terrace Health Care of Waterbury; she was the wife of the late John F. Dellano.
Mary was born in Waterbury, on May 1, 1918, daughter of the late Leonard and Josephine (Lagonegro) Marino.
She was a very loving person. Her family and her faith were always her priorities. She loved going dancing with her husband, and enjoyed going to bingo. Mary was very crafty, and was an expert at knitting, crocheting, and ceramics. She loved to bake, and she made the best blueberry pies. Mary previously lived with her son, Paul and daughter in-law, Linda for many years on Hans avenue, in Waterbury.
Mary is survived by her son, Paul, and daughter in-law, Linda Dellano of East Hampton, CT., Three grandchildren, Maria (John) Hanlon of Waterbury, Michael Dellano of Waterbury, Melissa (Michael) Balda of East Hampton, CT., and Four great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Jillian Dellano, Hannah and Emily Balda. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and Cousins.
Besides her husband John, she was predeceased by, her brothers, Rocco and Dominic Marino, and her sisters, Betty Coviello and Connie Feola.
The family extends their thanks to the Kingsbury staff at Abbott Terrace, especially Erin and Ann, for their kindness throughout her stay there in.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016, at 9am from Colasanto Funeral Home, 932 Bank St. Waterbury, to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 785 Highland Ave. Waterbury, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 9am until time of service.
