Ann Marie (Colaninno) Ciotti

Mrs. Ann Marie (Colaninno) Ciotti, age 84, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and friends, on Monday, October 7, 2019. She was the loving wife of the late John O. Ciotti.

Mrs. Ciotti was born on August 27, 1935, in Waterbury, daughter of the late Frank and Dora (Sambuco) Colaninno. She attended Wilby High School and New Hampshire College (New Haven Extension).  Ann worked as a Home Health Aide, and was involved in social service for over 30 years. She loved to cook and share her food with family and friends. There was always a meal ready for all who came through her door. She was an amazing daughter, wife, mom, and grandmother, and she loved to be with her sons and her beloved grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Paul Ciotti, and his wife Tina, and their children, Anthony, Gianni, and Domenic, of Thornton, NH, her son, Mark Ciotti, and his daughter, Emma, of Thomaston, CT, her brother, Vito Colaninno, and his wife Teresa, of Planstville, CT, her niece, Karen Sposi, and her husband Phil, of Planstville, CT, her nephew, Frank Colaninno, and his wife Lisa, of Kensington, CT. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Rena LeDuc, and her husband, Maurice, of Lady Lake, FL, her sister-in-law, Linda Scaviola, of Watertown, CT, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Ann was predeceased by her son, John F. Ciotti.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, at 11:00 am, on Thursday, October 17, 2019, at St. Peter and Paul Church, 67 Southmayd Rd., Waterbury. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery following the Mass. Colasanto Funeral Home, 932 Bank St., Waterbury, CT, has been entrusted with all arrangements.
