Eric Scott Zupka

Eric Scott Zupka, 45, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectantly on July 4, 2019, at St. Mary's Hospital. 

He was born on March 1, 1974, in Stamford, CT, the loving son of the late Albert and Barbara (Zaica) Zupka.

Eric graduated from Wilton High School in 1992, and went on to earn a History Degree from Boston College in 1996, and a Master's Degree in Education from Sacred Heart University.

Eric was a bank professional, working at Bank Mobile in New Haven as an anti-money laundering specialist (AML).

In his spare time, he loved working on the restoration of his 1973 Datsun 240Z sports car.

Eric leaves behind his brother, Michael Zupka, of Litchfield, his ex-wife, Ieva Matulionyte, son, Jokubas Zupka, 11, daughter, Sofija, 8, all of Lithuania, and a first cousin, Joseph Kohler and his wife, Darlene, of Rhode Island.

A Funeral Service will be held at 8:30 am, on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Colasanto Funeral Home, 932 Bank Street, Waterbury, followed by a 10:30 am Mass of Christian Burial, at St. Blaise Parish/St. Joseph Church, 46 Congress Ave., Waterbury. Burial to follow, at the Lithuanian Cemetery, 102 Plank Rd., Waterbury. Family and friends may call at the funeral home, from 8:30am to 10:00am on Wednesday, July 17, 2019.
