Loving Cousin
Judith A. Arena, 76, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully, at VITAS Inpatient Hospice Unit, at St. Mary’s Hospital, on October 17, 2021, after a brief illness.
She was born on April 5, 1945, the daughter of the late Louis and Philomina (Mongelluzzo) Arena.
Judy lived her entire life in Waterbury, and attended local schools.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Judy had a great love for animals, having many dogs and cats over the years - especially her cat Oliver, who passed away just a month ago. She was an avid reader, liked collecting teddy bears, watching Hallmark movies, listening to music, and spending time with family. She worked at ESPN for over 30 years, and loved all of her ESPN family. She retired just year ago. Judy was a sweet and kind person with a heart of gold, and to know her, was to love her.
She is survived by her many cousins and close friends, who loved her dearly.
Her family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of VITAS Hospice Unit, at St. Mary's Hospital, for their comfort, care, and compassion that they showed to Judy.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy' name may be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
