Lorraine Frances Owens (O’Bar)

Lorraine entered the Gates of Heaven peacefully, at home with her family, on May 23, 2023.

She was born in Waterbury, Connecticut, on December 10, 1935, to the late Edward and Elizabeth (Rivard) O’Bar.

Lorraine leaves to honor and cherish her memory, her brothers, Edward and Richard O’Bar, her sister, Priscilla Sheldon, her daughter, Barbara LaChance and her husband, Noel and their family, of Canada,  her daughter, Karen Owens and her family, her daughter, Sandra Hall and her husband, Robert and their family, her son, John Owens Sr. and his family, her daughter, Lorraine Hall and her husband, Dave and her children Krysti, Joshua, and Bruce, and many,  many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.  She is a beautiful soul and loved her family with her whole heart. The best mom and Nana any family could ask for.

She was predeceased by her husband, George Owens, Sr., her son, George Owens, Jr., and his wife, Patricia, her daughter, Debra (Owens) Mancinone and her husband, Freddy, her best friend, Esther “Rootsie” Catanzaro, and her sister, Arline Patten.

Services are at the convenience of the family. Colasanto Funeral Home, 932 Bank Street, Waterbury, CT, has been entrusted with all arrangements.
