Gustave Joseph LoSchiavo III, 42, of Cheshire, passed away Monday, April 15, 2019. Gussy was born Oct. 30, 1976, in Waterbury. He was the son of Gustave LoSchiavo Jr., of Cheshire, and Patricia Passaro, of Thomaston.
He was the best son a parent could ever ask for. Gussy always had a smile, and everyone that knew him liked him, especially all his coworkers at Preferred Tool and Die. You could always find him with his dad fishing or hunting, or helping dad with all his yard work. Gus and his dad were like best friends. He was always with his dog, Cody, walking or playing catch in the driveway, or hiking and hunting, at Bristol Fish & Game.
He loved fishing and hunting with his nephews, David and Justin. He was a perfect role model for them.
He loved sitting with his niece, Alessia, while she watched Paw Patrol on his phone. He was the best uncle they ever had. He always took the time to be with his mother, helping her to do things around her home, taking her out for lunch, or just hanging out with Mom. He was a wonderful son to her, and she loved him very much. She never had to worry about anything, because with just a phone call, he was there for her.
He would always call his sister and ask, “What’s for dinner? I'm hungry.” He would say to her, “My name is Gus I drive a bus, don't make a fuss.” His sister said,” ya know, we both can talk like Elmo. He's the one who taught me. Best brother in the world. He was always there for me and my children.”
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Jaime LoSchiavo, and her partner Michael Gronau, of Oakville, his nephews; David Riddick, of Cheshire, Justin Alverez, of Waterbury, and Alessia Gronau, of Oakville, his step-sister, Stacie Fallon, step-brothers,Chad and Kyle Passaro. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Gustave and Marie LoSchiavo, and his maternal grandparents, Frank and Gloria Arcovio, all of Waterbury.
