Helen L. (Trycoski) Urbanski, 93, formerly of 56 Chambers St., Waterbury, CT, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Anthony B. Urbanski.
Helen was born in Duryea, PA, on August 17, 1925, daughter of the late John and Veronica Trycoski.
She graduated from Duryea High School. She had one brother, the late John Trycoski, and one sister, the late Janet Hulse of PA.
After marrying Anthony, they moved their family to Waterbury, CT, where Helen worked at Uniroyal, until her retirement. Helen enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, and her many chihuahuas. She was a member of the CT Dahlia Society, and a devoted member of St. Patrick's Church.
Helen is survived by her daughters Catherine Balnis, of North Carolina, Debra Towle, of Waterbury, CT, her son Mark Urbanski, and his wife Nancy, of Wolcott, CT, as well as her 14 grandchildren; John, Richard, and Kenneth Cronin, Ryan Colasanto, Matthew, Elizabeth, Joseph, and Thomas Towle, Gina Zaiko, Lisa DiBiase, Sarah Linsalato, Michelle McFarland, Mark and Steven Urbanski. She also has nine great grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
Helen was predeceased by sons David and Joseph Urbanski, and daughter Anita McFarland.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30am, on Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at St. Patrick’s Church/Parish of St. Blaise, 50 Charles St., Waterbury. Burial is private, and there are no calling hours. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Colasanto Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements.
