Joseph Edward Febbriello, 98, formerly of Waterbury, passed away at Leisure Court Nursing Center, CA, on September 11, 2017, surrounded by his Loving family. He was the husband of the late Anne (Codianni) Febbriello.
He was born in Waterbury, CT, on March 19, 1919, the son of the late Nunzio and Angeline (Iavecchia) Febbriello.
Joseph was a Navy veteran, having served in WWII as a member of the Sea Bees.
He was a Loving Father, Grandfather, and Great-Grandfather, who enjoyed spending time with his family above all else.
Joseph also enjoyed carpentry, and building. He was always happy to do any repairs his family might need.
He was also musically gifted, having learned to play piano, organ, and accordion by ear.
Joseph is survived by his son, Anthony Febbriello, of Garden Grove, CA, his daughter, Angie (Febbriello) Colella and her husband, Ronald, of Waterbury, his granddaughter, Deena Konish, of Greensboro, North Carolina, and his great-granddaughter, Amanda Konish, also of Greensboro, North Carolina.
He is predeceased by his son, Joseph Carmen Febbriello.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017, from 8:30 to 9:30 am, at Colasanto Funeral Home, 932 Bank Street, Waterbury, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 785 Highland Ave., Waterbury, at 10:00 am. Burial with Military Honors to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
