Mike was the man. I was a dishwasher at 1249 West when I was in high school. When I left called to tell him I was going to the Marines. He said "You'll make a fine Marine."
But I knew Mike, and I know when we hung up he would have laughed his ass off and said, "The Marines are gonna whoop his little black ass!" Mike is embedded in my memories as well if not more than my drill instructors. I always wanted to run into him again, but unfortunately not. I'll never forget him.

I'm saddened to hear of Chef Antico;s passing. I didn't know him well but our paths crossed several times over the years with commonalities in both training and employment.
He was always cordial with me on my visits to La Cupola and know that his skills and passion for fine cuisine will be greatly missed there.

To Michael'S Family & Friends,
I always enjoyed visiting with Michael @ La Cupola
In Litchfield. He & Frank were a beautiful pair that beat a full house. At Times I would stop there when the restaurant was closed and Michael would still Russell me up a delicious lunch and was almost insulted when I give them a handsome tip. also in my line as a commercial real estate broker he would give me a tip or share market information about other restaurants in Connecticut . He was a class act and very comical I might add. I was very sad to read this in the Sunday Rep-am today . Again, my heart goes out to all of you for this friendship & culinary loss.
