Vittoria P. (Polidoro) Minnella

Vittoria P. Minnella, 94, of Waterbury, passed away on January 18, 2018, at Abbott terrace Health Care.  She was the wife of the late Michael (Chappy) Minnella.

She was born on September 22, 1923, in Pietraferrazzana, Italy, daughter of the late Pietro and Teresa Polidoro.

Vittoria immigrated from Italy in the 1950s. She then went to work for Sealy Mattress in Oakville, and became a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.  Vittoria loved cooking and spending time with her family.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her sister, Maria Zollino, of Kenora, Ontario, Canada, her brother, Aladino Polidoro, of New York, and her son, Joseph Minnella, of Waterbury; she also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Vittoria was predeceased by her first husband, Domenic Scopino

 A Funeral Service will be held at 9am, on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, from Colasanto Funeral Home, 932 Bank St. Waterbury, to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 785 Highland Ave., Waterbury, for a Mass of Christian Burial, at 10:30am. Burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 9am to10am, on Tuesday, January 23, 2018.
