David and Karen,
I am not sure if you remember me but I loved your mom and dad growing up. I remember how tall he was and how he would pick me up when I saw him. I remember the birthday cakes he gave your mom that always said Happy 39th Birthday Jack Benny! Please accept my most sincere condolences on this very difficult time. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

I was fortunate to be Al's interim pastor for several months. He was witty and kind and a wonderful Christian. His love for his church's ministry was known by all who met him. He will be missed by all who were honored to know him.

Alphonse David Ladyga was a treasure who gave and gave and gave--a giving person, who gave to his parents, his family, his country, his church, his employers, his community, and to me and my family. He gave love: interest, concern, a good word, support, help, management. He always saw the best in persons and situations. He had capacities of discernment that issued in benefits for his family and social endeavors. I and my family had the benefit of his counsel and grace for 17 years; and we are richer as persons because of his interactions with us. I thank God that he has been a part of my life, and I bless the memory of this prince, Alphonse David Ladyga.
