WATERBURY – Dolores A. (Verrier) Citriniti, 92, of Waterbury, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024, after a brief illness.
Dolores was born in Waterbury, on December 20, 1931, the daughter of the late Wilfred and Lucy (Dezinno) Verrier. She was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School. Dolores spent almost her entire working life employed by Benrus Watch (Pic Designs) in Waterbury and Middlebury. She was a lifelong communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Dolores was an avid baker. She found great enjoyment in cooking and baking, trying new recipes, and creating some of her own. She was delighted to bake wonderfully decorated cakes for generations of celebrations. Her fancy cookie trays were a highlight of everyone’s Christmas Eve.
Dolores leaves behind many Verrier and Stango nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews, as well as great-grandnieces, and great-grandnephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Rose Stango, and her brothers, Augustine, George, Nicholas, and Benjamin Verrier.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Those attending are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be private at Calvary Cemetery, and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. All arrangements have been entrusted to Colasanto Funeral Home, 932 Bank Street, Waterbury.
