Elaine M. (Traver) Taggett, 70, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on April 23, 2019. She was the wife of the late John (Jack) Taggett.

She was born in Waterbury on January 3, 1949, the daughter of Frank and Ethel (Thompson) Traver.

Elaine loved her grandchildren and family dearly. In her free time, she enjoyed going to all of their sporting events to cheer them on. She enjoyed baseball, and was an avid Red Sox fan. Elaine worked for the State of Connecticut's Southbury Training School for 25 years.

She is survived by her three daughters; Ann-Margaret Mancinone and husband, Rick, Doreen Sauer, and Joy Sauer and her partner, William St.Hilaire. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Jessica Sauer, Jacklyn Cooke, Elaina Layden, Vincent Currie, Gilbert Irizarry, Cassandra Rousseau, Jayson Matos, Derek St.Hilaire, and eight great-grandchildren.

Elaine was the last surviving of ten siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 29, at 11:00 am, at Christ Episcopal Church, 2030 E. Main Street, Waterbury, followed by a burial at Calvary Cemetery. Family and Friends are asked to meet at the church. Colasanto Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements.
