Giacondina Russo Obituary

 

Giacondina (Daddona) Russo, 95, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully at home, on Monday, December 26, 2022.

She was born in Long Island, NY, on February 10, 1927, the daughter of Thomas and Josephine (Gentile) Daddona.

Giacondina was a loving mother and grandmother. After her retirement, she loved being home and spending time with her family. She enjoyed doing holiday cooking and baking, reading, doing crossword puzzles, playing bingo, and going to the casino.

Left behind to cherish her memory are: her daughter, Lori Davis, her daughter, Regina and husband Steve Stefan, her granddaughter, Thomasina Davis, and her great-grandson, Anthony Vega. She also leaves behind her brother, Cosmas "Butch" Daddona, her sisters, Katherine Murphy and Juliana Scheuer, and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at St. Peter and Paul Church, 67 Southmayd Rd., Waterbury. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery, 2324 E. Main St., Waterbury.
