Joann Marie (Pesce) Ameden

Waterbury – Joann Marie Ameden, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday June 20, 2023.

Joann was born in Waterbury on March 21, 1944 daughter to the late Ann (Dumbroski) and Joseph Pesce. She worked for many years as a crossing guard for the City of Waterbury in the Hopeville area.

          Joann, “Ma” to many people, loved traveling and jewelry, visiting people and making people laugh was her goal when meeting someone. She was a very social person and made a new friend everywhere she went.  Joann was a very giving person and loved Christmas, getting together with her family was a priority to her. She is remembered for being a protective mother to many.  She enjoyed telling stories of her past and dancing. 

Joann is survived by her son James and Pat Jarvis, whom helped care for her, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Alyssa Gonzalez, Lilianna and Kehlani Gonzalez, Angel and Angie Figueroa, Chris, Joseph and Eric Johnpiere, Mathew Johnpiere, Tannya and Joshua Trudeau, Jessica and Jowanna Wascavage as well as many friends that loved her just the same.
