Loving Mother, Grandmother, Aunt


Josephine A. (Alibrio) Brunelli, 100, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Josephine was born in Waterbury, CT, on March 18, 1923, the loving daughter of Frank and Lena (Masso) Alibrio.

She worked at Southbury Training School as an aide and a driver. Josephine was an avid Yankees and UConn fan, who also loved cooking for her family. She loved her church, and had a smile that could light up an entire room. She will be greatly missed by all.

Josephine is survived by her son: Thomas Brunelli, her grandchildren: Thomas Brunelli, Jr. and his wife Kim, Deanna (Brunelli) Hales and her husband Chris, and Kim Addessio-Packer and her husband Brett, her great-grandchildren: Kayla, Alex, Jillian, Tommy, and Kylie, also by nieces, and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Robert Brunelli, and her granddaughter, Laurie (Brunelli) DeFeo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am, on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 785 Highland Ave, Wtby. Burial will be private.
