PORT SAINT LUCIE, Fla. - Leonard J. Margiotta, Sr., 76, formerly of Waterbury, CT, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, January 15, 2022, in Port Saint Lucie, Fla. He was the loving husband for the past 17 years to Janice (Parisi) Margiotta. Mr. Margiotta was born June 23, 1945, in Waterbury, to the son of the late Leo and Rose (Davino) Margiotta. He attended Croft High School, and upon graduation, he enlisted in the Air Force. He was a lifelong, proud Waterbury resident, and  a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. He was an active member of B.P.O. Elks of Waterbury, 265, as well as 1870, in Stuart, Florida. He was self-employed, and the owner of the Len Margiotta Insurance Agency.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Leonard Margiotta, Jr. and his wife, Onelia, and John Margiotta, all of Waterbury, along with two daughters, Rebecca Margiotta and her partner, Bryant Caban, of Fort Myers, FL, as well as Lysa Napoli and her husband, State Representative of the 73rd district, Ronald Napoli, Jr., of Waterbury. He is also survived by his brother, Anthony (Tony) Margiotta and his wife Denise, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Mary Ann (DeZinno) Margiotta, of Waterbury.

Contributions can be made to his favorite charitable cause, Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, at 9:00AM, January 26, 2022, at Colasanto Funeral Home, 932 Bank Street, Waterbury, to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, for A Mass of Christian Burial, Friends and Family are asked to meet at the Church for 10:00AM, (SHARP) Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
