Michael Angelo Antico

Mike was the man. I was a dishwasher at 1249 West when I was in high school. When I left called to tell him I was going to the Marines. He said "You'll make a fine Marine."
But I knew Mike, and I know when we hung up he would have laughed his ass off and said, "The Marines are gonna whoop his little black ass!" Mike is embedded in my memories as well if not more than my drill instructors. I always wanted to run into him again, but unfortunately not. I'll never forget him.

I'm saddened to hear of Chef Antico;s passing. I didn't know him well but our paths crossed several times over the years with commonalities in both training and employment.
He was always cordial with me on my visits to La Cupola and know that his skills and passion for fine cuisine will be greatly missed there.

Richard. So sorry to read about Michaels passing. My memories of our younger yrs. Lectures from Angelo ! Polk school dances ,Trio rest. will always make me Smile. Rest in Peace my friend.. My condolences to the Antico family. Dante
