Nicholas B. Jamele, 79, of Waterbury, passed away on April 28, 2020, at Waterbury Hospital.
He was born on July 19, 1940, the son of the late Andreá and Pasqualina Jamele.
Nick attended local schools, he served in Korea for the United States Army Artillery Division.
He worked in construction as a Mason brick layer for 15 years, before becoming the owner of "Scruples Cafe," which he owned for over 40 years.
Nick was a good-hearted person. He loved to cook, and make arrangements for family gatherings and picnics. He was a huge New York Yankees fan from way back. He was also an animal lover, and had two Siamese cats - Penucci and Suki, and his precious dog, "Buster." He enjoyed reading, and read all of O'Reilly's books. He also loved to travel, play golf, and most of all, he loved to ride his motorcycle. He will be greatly missed.
He leaves behind his sister, Madeline Jamele, his niece, Doreen Jamele, his nephews, Andrew Jamele Jr., John Jamele, and Joseph.
Nicholas was predeceased by his brothers Anthony, Michael, Andrew, and Pasquale Jamele.
A Memorial Mass will be held at a future date. Donations may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 785 Highland Avenue, Waterbury, CT, 06708.
