Ona (Jurgelevicius) Liutkus, 102, of Waterbury, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2024, at St. Mary’s Vitas, in Waterbury. She was the loving wife of the late Stasys Liutkus for 75 years.
Ona was born in Kaunas, Lithuania, on December 1, 1921. She was a devout Catholic, and a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Waterbury.
She worked out of her house, making specialty dresses and gowns for locals. An avid gardener, she grew her own vegetables, numerous varieties of berries, and flowers.
Ona is survived by her son, Dr. John Liutkus, of Waterbury, and her two grandchildren, Anthony Liutkus and his wife, Kassandra, and John (Will) Liutkus, all of Georgia.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Antanas Liutkus.
