It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Brennan Sasso, informally known as Patti-Anne, who passed away at the age of 84, from complications of dementia.
Patricia was born in Waterbury, on October 29, 1940, where she was a life-long resident. Patricia graduated from Crosby High School at the age of 17, and went on to work as a secretary for CL&P (Eversouce); later switching careers to become Claims Service Manager at Traveler’s Insurance Company, from where she later retired. Patricia was a dedicated member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, where she volunteered much of her time. She enjoyed dancing, cooking, playing board games, cards, and bingo with friends and family. She was always inclined to make people smile and laugh with her witty jokes and outgoing personality.
Patricia is survived by her daughters: Eileen Couture and partner, Mark Chateaneuf, and Teresa Massaro and son in-law, Anthony Massaro; her grandchildren, Anthony Massaro (TJ), Lindsey Saunders and husband Terrel Saunders, Brianna Couture, Chelsea Couture and husband, Guillem Paredes Santin, and Jacob Couture, and also her great-grandchildren, Dakota, Sebastian, Emerson, and Lyla.
She is predeceased by her husband, Raymond Sasso, and her brother, Francis Granato.
Calling hours for Friends and Family will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024, at Colasanto Funeral Home, 932 Bank Street, Waterbury, CT, from 9:00 am, to 10:30 am. Burial will be held immediately following at Calvary Cemetery, 2324 E Main Street, Waterbury CT.
