Petrina E. (Lombardo) Angelicola

Petrina Eve Lombardo Angelicola, 89, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully at home, on Monday, October 24, 2022. Patty was the loving wife, mother of his two children, and best friend to her husband of 67 years, Francisco (Frank) Anthony Angelicola.

She was born in Brooklyn, NY, on March 21, 1933, the daughter of Joseph and Rosaria (Saccheri) Lombardo.

Patty was a kind and generous woman, who happily enjoyed helping out her family. As a 19 year cancer survivor, she volunteered her services for the American Cancer Society, sewing over 1,000 bags and pillows for cancer patients.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Rosanne (Angelicola) Jozwik and her husband, John, her son, Francis (Frank) Angelicola and his wife, Dana (Brouillard), four grandchildren: Richard Valez, Petrina (Jozwik) Soulier and her husband, Tyler, John Jozwik, and Katarina (Jozwik) McKenna, and three great-grandchildren: Isabella, Juliette, and Wesley Soulier. She also leaves behind her brother, Vito Lombardo and his wife, Theresa, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was predeceased by brother Vincent Lombardo and his wife, Antoinette.

A 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 28, at St. Michael's Church, 62 St. Michael's Drive, Waterbury. Burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 669 Platt Rd., Watertown. A Gathering of Family will be held on Friday morning from 8:30 - 9:30 AM, at Colasanto Funeral Home, 932 Bank St., Waterbury.
