Theresa Brodeur Cleary, 97, a lifelong resident of Waterbury, and recent resident of Brandywine of Litchfield, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2018.
Theresa was born in Waterbury, on April 4, 1921, the daughter of Emile and Anna (Guertin) Brodeur.
She is survived by her two daughters; Emily Hollis, of Sedona, AZ., Theresa Noble, and her husband Jon, of Waterbury, a daughter-in-law, Sandra Colasanto, of Terryville, and beloved son-in-law, Donald Hollis, of Wolcott. Her Grandchildren; Ray Townsend, Theodore Townsend, Donald Hollis, Kevin Hollis, Ann Marie Colasanto, Michael Colasanto, Amanda Hubbard, and Rebecca Colasanto. She leaves numerous great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and a special neighbor, dear to her heart, Taylor Hubbard, and her family.
All will cherish the memories of her baking cookies and creating needlepoint for every occasion.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edwin B. Cleary, her son, Thomas E. Colasanto, and grandsons, Paul Townsend, and Thomas A. Colasanto.
The family would like to thank Sharon O’Donnell for her care and companionship, creating many opportunities of fun for Gammy during her last years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am, Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at St. Michael’s Church, 62 St. Michael’s Drive, Waterbury. Burial to follow in All Saints Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Colasanto Funeral Home has been entrusted with all arrangements.
