Wayne Blanchard, 80, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully at his home, on Sunday, June 13, 2021. He was the loving husband of the late Pauline (Fountaine) Blanchard.
Wayne was born in Waterbury, on June 27, 1940, the son of Everette and Minnie (Mertz) Blanchard.
He worked at Farrel Manufacturing in Waterbury as a Foreman and a Plater.
Wayne loved fishing, hunting, woodworking, camping, and traveling cross country, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family - especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He leaves behind his five children: Christine (Steve) Mancini, Wayne (Cindy) Blanchard, Thomas (Loraine) Blanchard, Theresa Barbera, and John Blanchard. He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 18, at Colasanto Funeral Home, 932 Bank St., Waterbury, from 8:00 am, to 9:30 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at St. Joseph Parish, 46 Congress Ave., Waterbury, at 10:00 am. Burial to immediately follow, at All Saints Cemetery, 203 Spring Lake Rd., Waterbury.
