Zita P. (Pitkauskas) Chaney

Zita P. Chaney, 64, of Wolcott, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at Beacon Brook Healthcare Center, in Naugatuck. She was the wife of the late Mark Chaney.

She was born in Vilnius, Lithuania, on April 14, 1956, the loving daughter of Vaclovas and Ona Pitkauskas.

Zita worked in banking and in accounting at Macy's department store.

Zita was kind, selfless, and incredibly charismatic. Everywhere she went, she made friends, and she is leaving many behind. She had love for so many people, and they all had tremendous love for her. Zita was the type of person that you only met once in a lifetime - so unique, carrying a powerful energy with her, and such a captivating personality. She was an amazing cook and hostess. She loved to cook for her son, family, and friends, and she was always the life of the party.

She is survived by her son, Adam Chaney, several siblings, and nieces and nephews.
